DETAILS OF ECE LAB

1 VLSI & EMBEDDED SYSTEM LAB To learn the fundamental and advanced principles of VLSI Design & Embedded Systems. This Lab is used for conducting the UG/PG practical sessions, research activities and to provide hands on design experience with professional design (EDA) platforms. This lab also familiarizes implementation of logical modules on FPGAs.It also provides facilities to address the research, development and design problems and advance their solutions in VLSI & Embedded domains.
2 ANALOG CIRCUITS LAB The Analog Circuits Lab is a skill development lab targetterd for implying the skills in basic analog electronics. The construction features of many ideal components like diodes, transistors and their associated circuits are covered in detail. The extensive study on the characteristics in different transistor configurations, diode rectifiers, waveshaping circuits,switching circuits, Filter circuits, Conversion circuits, amplifier circuits is uniquely done in this lab.
3 COMMUNICATION LAB This course gives students deep knowledge in digital communication systems at the practical level so that students can understand the logical, analytical, and mathematical background of the communication system. This lab focuses on understanding the fundamental concepts of signal flow in a digital communication system.
4 ( R&D LAB) The Research and Development Lab is a dual purpose lab where research works of the Department of ECE and the projects (both faculty and students) are supported. The primary objective of the lab is to promote and facilitate projects, products, techniques/ technology development for specific use as per the vision and mission of the Department.The focus is more on the students for the active involvement and association in the above efforts. The process/technology/product developed by the students under the mentorship of various faculty will be useful for the scientific community and for the benefit of the people at large. The lab will be helpful to inculcate the research based skills and creative skills in the students and help them to apply latest research techniques for their ongoing projects.
5 SIGNAL PROCESSING LAB The signal processing Lab does concerned with signal operations including the representation of signals as a sequence of numbers and the operations carried out on the signals to extract specific information contained in them.The lab uses the DSP Kit / MATLAB/ OCTAVE/SCILAB etc. The lab focuses on the generation of different waveshaping signals, and does the convolution process, and Filtering process also. Lab teaches the construction and characterization of AM, FM, PWM signals. It also prioritises the sampling of the signals needed for all latest applications.
6 MICROCONTROLLER LAB Microprocessors and Microcontrollers laboratory course helps the students to develop their knowledge on processor architecture and the programming skills. The aim of the lab is to provide hands-on training to interface I/O devices, perform A/D and D/A conversions, design traffic light etc. The skills acquired through the experiments help the students to do their projects and enhance their knowledge on the latest trends and technologies. This laboratory provides facilities for the use of 8/16 bit microprocessors/microcontrollers and their interfacing for different applications, using hardware and software concepts to meet industry standards.
7 DIGITAL IC LAB The Digital Logic Lab is where our students gain practical experience in the use of basic hardware components. Through experiments, students become familiar with gates, multiplexers, decoders, flip-flops, counters, registers and displays. The syllabus focuses on Boolean logic functions, Descriptive TTL and CMOS logic, as well as IC logic devices. It describes proper method for detection and correction of common fault potentials.
8 ELECTRONICS WORKSHOP The students can study the characteristics of electronic components and measuring instruments. They can study frequency response of amplifiers, measure frequency,and amplitude of given signals .This lab is mainly used for conducting practical sessions for first year UG students and some project works for final year ECE students. The main equipments in this lab are CRO, FG, DC SOURCE etc. This lab provides facilities for soldering practices
