About the College Council
The College Council of Mangalam College of Engineering is a key institutional body that facilitates effective academic and administrative coordination across the College. It provides a structured forum for deliberating on matters related to academic planning, student development, institutional activities and the overall functioning of the College. The College Council regularly meets to discuss and take action on various issues related to academics, campus discipline and other matters of concern. The Council brings together representatives from the academic and administrative leadership of the institution to review institutional priorities, discuss important academic and student-related matters, and facilitate coordinated decision-making.
Functions of the College Council
- To review and coordinate the academic activities and institutional programmes of the College.
- To deliberate on matters concerning teaching, learning and academic administration.
- To review student-related matters and recommend appropriate measures for student welfare and development.
- To facilitate coordination among various departments, academic units and institutional committees.
- To consider recommendations relating to curriculum implementation, academic programmes and institutional initiatives.
- To review the implementation of important decisions and institutional action plans.
- To promote initiatives that contribute to academic excellence, innovation, skill development and holistic student development.
- To consider and recommend measures for the continuous improvement of the academic and institutional environment.
Composition
The College Council consists of the Principal, Vice Principals, Heads of Departments, the designated representatives of the College and elected students as prescribed by the institutional regulations. The Council functions under the leadership of the Principal, Mangalam College of Engineering, with the participation of the concerned academic and administrative heads.

Meetings
The College Council meets periodically to review ongoing academic and institutional activities and to deliberate on matters requiring collective consideration.
